Mr. Hu Zhiguang, a Well-known Patriot Chinese in Netherland visits Shanghai Humanism Memorial Museum


On the afternoon of Aug. 21, Mr. Hu Zhiguang, a well-known patriot Chinese in Netherland visits Shanghai Fu Shou Yuan. Mr. Hu is a famous patriot Chinese in Netherland and has been devoted to the economic and cultural exchange and cooperation between Netherland and China and the promotion of Chinese culture among overseas Chinese.

Mr. Hu visited the cemetery area of Shanghai Fu Shou Yuan and the first humanism memorial museum in China located in the cemetery in the company of Mr. Wu Yibo, Executive Vice General Manager of Shanghai Fu Shou Yuan. During the visit, Mr. Hu repeated exclaimed over Fu Shou Yuan’s unique philosophy with humanistic care in the construction of cemeteries and spoke highly of its persistent pursuit of human culture, especially the Haixing Park (special park established for Shanghai Overseas Returned Scholars Association) and those impressive exhibits of Gu Weijun, Xiang Zhejun and other Chinese patriots in Shanghai Memorial Museum. He said that overseas Chinese always have the complex to return to their motherland. Fu Shou Yuan has provided them the best home to return to and does not forget the contributions they have made to their motherland and their ardent patriotism.

After the visit, Mr. Hu specially wrote an inscription for Shanghai Humanism Memorial Museum that reads “inherit and carry forward the spirit of ancestors to boost patriotism.”
